Girls Generation Paparazzi

Rilly GG
"Paparazzi" is song by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation, taken from their second Japanese album Girls' Generation II ~Girls & Peace~. It was released as the album's lead single on June 27, 2012, with an accompanying music video being released on June 14, 2012. Paparazzi continued the group's success in Japan, reaching number one on Oricon's Daily Single chart, ultimately debuting at number two on the weekly single chart with sales of over 92,000 copies, and managed to reach the number spot atop the Japanese Hot 100.

Background and release
"Paparazzi" was written by Swedish songwriters, Fredrik Thomander and Johan Becker, and produced by American producer, Miles Walker. Junji Ishiwatari provided additional writing. Prior to the single's announcement, members Tiffany and Jessica spoke of the group's new material. Tiffany, on DJ Isak's radio show, "K-Poppin'", said that she had been "in and out of the studio [..] prepping for some new material." Jessica also spoke of new material with Elle Girl magazine, "[Our] Japan album will be released sometime in the second half of the year. We're working hard on it."
A teaser video of "Paparazzi" was released by SM Entertainment on May 29, 2012, on their official YouTube channel. The Japanese TV show Zip! quickly aired the same teaser, followed by a 22-second audio teaser of the song. Teaser images of the group were released in the week following.

Promotion and live performances
"Paparazzi" received its first live performance on the Japanese music program, Music Station, on June 22, 2012, where the group wore tuxedos, with pink gloves. On July 9, 2012, the group staged their second performance of the song on Fuji TV's Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, the members all wore tuxedo's with black gloves. On July 14, 2012, the group made their third performance of the song on a Japanese television show, on the program 'Music Day.'

Commercial Performance

Paparazzi received the top spot for Oricon's Daily Singles on June 30 and July 2, 2012, leaving the song to debut at #2 on Oricon's Weekly Single chart for the week June 25 - July 1, 2012, selling over 92,000 copies, becoming their second best first week opening, following the 100,000 debut of Mr. Taxi, a year prior. Paparazzi ranked at #1 on Tower Records' Daily Singles for the entire week of June 25 to July 1, 2012, receiving the #1 spot for the week.

The song debuted highly on Billboard Japan's charts, reaching the Top 10 for Top Airplay, the Top 5 for Adult Contemporary Airplay and Hot Single Sales, ultimately debuting atop the Japan Hot 100. As well as debuting at #2 on the RIAJ's digital chart.
With the additional 116,000 physical sales for "Paparazzi" Girls' Generation's total singles/download sales now stand at 647,000 (with their best selling track being "Gee" at 207,000) according to SoundScan Japan.

Music video
Background
The music video for "Paparazzi" was said to be the largest music video that Girls' Generation had ever done at its filming. The set built for the video contained over 30,000 light bulbs, and the buildings used needed a week to complete with 120 people hired to do the work. Additionally, 300 people were cast in the video.
A total of 5 versions of the video were filmed, the highest amount for any video in Girls' Generation history. This includes close-up versions of each of the nine girls. SM Entertainment released a one minute long music video teaser for the video on May 29, 2012.
"Paparazzi" had its initial premiere in Shibuya, a district of Tokyo, on June 10, 2012, at 7PM JST. The music video, along with a Dance Version, was released to the public on YouTube on June 15, 2012 at 0:00AM JST. The videos received over 4 million views within two days of its upload, and over 9 million by the end of the week. Another dance edit was released on June 22, 2012, entitled "Dance Edit Gold"; it features the girls inside the ballroom set.

Synopsis
The video, lasting 6 minutes 36 seconds, begins with the girls walking through a hallway into the lobby of a hotel surrounded by reporters, it then cuts to a theater, where Seohyun and Tiffany are seen preparing to go on stage. On the stage, a man is seen walking across, announcing, "Ladies and gentlemen, Girls' Generation. Come on!" The curtain opens, revealing a street corner, with clubs, a coffee shop and a movie theater. Posters at the movie theater read "Girls' Generation In Concert", containing pictures of the group from the repackaged of their debut Japanese album, Girls' Generation.
The girls are then seen walking in trench coats, meeting in the middle of the street, in the background, the song, "Singin' in the Rain", performed by Gene Kelly can be heard. Camera flashes then go off, and the girls become shocked. It then cuts to a title card reading "Paparazzi - Girls' Generation". They then take off the trench coats, revealing mostly red and black outfits (Hyoyeon and Yuri's are black and white, and Seohyun's is completely black), and the song begins. During the first chorus, a second set is seen, which resembles a ballroom and contains lightbulb covered walls, with a chandelier fixed to the ceiling, this set is also seen in the dance version of the video. The video contains cuts going back to the group walking through the lobby, being followed by reporters, while being asked questions, as well as closeups of each of the members. The video ends at the original set, with the girls posing with their hands to resemble a camera, panning into the front page of a newspaper that reads "Weekly Exploitation Press" in the title, articles are seen below with headlines reading as such, "Their Style Has Become The Bible For Fashion", and "Girls' Generation Gets Surrounded" The camera zooms into a photo of the street scene, with the girls wearing the trench coats, walking off while Singin' in the Rain plays again, the curtain closes and the audience is seen clapping.

Girls Generation Run Devil Run

"Run Devil Run" is song by South Korean girl group, Girls' Generation. It was the lead single of the repackage of Oh!, titled Run Devil Run.

Background
"Run Devil Run" was written by American songwriters, Alex James and Busbee, with Swedish songwriter Kalle Engström. The song was first recorded by American singer-songwriter Ke$ha in 2008 while pre-production of her debut album, Animal was occurring. However, Ke$ha never included the song on the album. The song remained untouched for the next two years until executives at Universal Music Group sold the rights of the song to SM Entertainment, after this, Korean songwriter Hong Ji-yoo was brought on to translate and rearrange the English version of the song into Korean. Ke$ha's version of the song leaked in January, 2010.

Charting
The song reached #1 on various online charts after its release.[citation needed] Its first #1 on network television was on KBS's Music Bank, where it won over Kara's "Lupin" and 2AM's "Jalmothaesseo" (I Did Wrong). Moreover, "Run Devil Run" was ranked #1 at South Korean Gaon Music Chart for two weeks.

Promotions
Starting from March 11, 2010, photos of the members were released online showcasing a dark concept, so called Black SoShi.
In the run of promotions for the song, an official iPhone application was released, available in free and paid versions. The free version has 30-second previews for all the songs on the album, a music video for “Run Devil Run” and a few photographs. The paid version has full tracks for all the songs on the album, music videos for “Run Devil Run”, “Gee”, “Oh!” and “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)”, and a photo gallery.
They concluded their song promotions by the May 2, 2010 in SBS' Inkigayo

Music video
The music video was filmed secretly in January 2010, together with their song “Oh!”. A teaser video was released on March 16, 2010. The music video for "Run Devil Run" was released on March 18. They also released a story version on March 31, 2010.

Original version
The original video contains two settings: a white room and a black room. Throughout the video, there are scenes of the girls dancing in these rooms, and there are individual close-ups of their own unique Black SoShi looks. At the end of the video, the girls are shown in the black room, after which the video ends similar to a TV shutting off.

Story version

The video continues the story of "Oh!" in which they meet the Black SoShi, their malevolent and darker selves, at the end of the video. The story video starts with rewinding the “Oh!” video to the part in which Sooyoung accidentally mishandles an American football helmet, which knocks over a cup causing it to spill a liquid on the computer. This crashes the computer, after which the "Black SoShi" escape from it. After they escaped, they began messing up and disarranging the room. Three-quarters of the way into the video, the band enter the room and meet the Black SoShi. The video ends when Yuri unplugs the computer, sending the Black SoShi back into their own dimension, after which they clean up the mess that the Black SoShi left. While doing this, Hyoyeon taps the computer monitor lightly, which reopens the portal to the parallel

TaeTiSeo Twinkle (EP)

SNSD TaeTiSeo
Twinkle is the debut EP by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation's sub-unit TaeTiSeo. It was released digitally on April 29, 2012 and physically on May 2, 2012 through SM Entertainment.

Background and release
On April 19, SM Entertainment officially announced the creation of TaeTiSeo. They said in a statement, "This subunit will aim to grab the attention of fans with all aspects of music, performance, and fashion styles.". The release of Twinkle was also confirmed in the same press release, scheduled for a May 2, 2012, release. The group will release their title track through iTunes for the global market, which will include a special photo booklet that is different from its offline release.

Composition

"Twinkle" falls into the funky soul genre with a mid-tempo reminiscent of a 70s-80s Stevie Wonder style song. The straightforward daring feel and lyrics show off the three members’ exceptional vocals. "Baby Steps" has a mid-tempo groove with a strong R&B style, also is a Korean version of the song with the same name of the American boy-band "Varsity Fanclub". "OMG" is an electronic-retro pop track with a unique sound, and "Love Sick" is about a shy girl who learns about love through her first crush. "Goodbye, Hello" is a track with a shuffle rhythm about not being able to believe that they just went through a break-up the day before.

Promotion
TaeTiSeo began promotions for "Twinkle" on M.net's M! Countdown on May 3. The group performed "Twinkle" on various music shows such as Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo in May. They also performed on KBS' "Hello" and "Open Concert" on May 6, and 10th. On the last week of Promotions, Sooyoung performed a solo dance for TTS on their goodbye stage on the 'Music Core' and Hyoyeon performed a solo dance on TTS's goodbye stage on Inkigayo with her dance partner in Dancing With The Stars.

Chart performance
Twinkle peaked at number four on the US iTunes Album Charts, where it now holds the record for the highest peaking K-pop album on the chart. It reached number one on both the Japanese and Bulgarian iTunes Album Charts, whilst being in the top 10 on various other countries' charts. The album also achieved an all-kill status in South Korea, reaching number one on MelOn, Bugs, Olleh, Soribada, Mnet, Daum and Naver. Twinkle reached #126 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart by selling over 3,000 copies, where it also holds the record for the highest peaking K-pop album on the chart. The album also reached #1 on the Billboard World Albums and #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums. As of July, 2012, the album has sold over 140,000 copies in South Korea.

Singles
Twinkle was released as the sub-unit's first single on April 29, 2012. The music video was released on April 30. "Twinkle" was written by Brandon Fraley, Jamelle Fraley, and Javier Solis and produced by Sunset Blvd. The song is a dance-pop track with influences of funk, electropop and go-go, drawing inspiration from music during the 1970s and 1980s, specifically, that of Stevie Wonder.

Girls Generation - Into the New World (English Translation)

I want to tell you, even though the sad times have already pastClose your eyes and feel, how you affect my mind, how you attract my gaze.
Don't wait for a miracle, there's a rough road in front of us
with obstacles and future that can't be known, yet I won't change, I can't give up.
Keep your love unchanging for my wounded heart
Looking in your eyes, no words are needed, time has stopped.
I love you, just like this. The longed end of wandering.
I leave behind this world's unending sadness.
Walking the many and unknowable paths, I follow a dim light.
It's something we'll do together to the end, into the new world.
Don't wait for a miracle, there's a rough road in front of us
with obstacles and future that can't be known, yet I won't change, I can't give up.
Keep your love unchanging for my wounded heart
Looking in your eyes, no words are needed, time has stopped.I love you, just like this. The longed end of wandering.
I leave behind this world's unending sadness.
Walking the many and unknowable paths, I follow a dim light.
It's something we'll do together to the end, into our new world.
Feeling alone in this dark dark night
Your soft breath,
This moment, warmly entwines me in your presence.
I want you to know all my tremors
I love you, just like this. The longed end of wandering.
I leave behind this world's unending sadness.
Walking the many and unknowable paths, I follow a dim light.
It's something we'll do together to the end, into our new world.

History
The song was produced by the founder and chairman of famous Korean music company SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man.

Music video
The music video features a small amount of dance scenes. The video starts with a plane landing, followed by a silhouette of the girls forming a line and then dancing. During this, text appears saying “Into the New World, Or Not.. It’s Up to Your Choice.. [sic]”. Throughout the music video, it shows the girls doing activities, either alone or coupled with another member, a unite in the dance scenes. The activities done by the girls are:
Yoona is designing clothes for a boutique.
Taeyeon is flying a light aircraft with Sooyoung accompanying her. In the video, the light aircraft Taeyeon flies is broken, and she attempts to repair it, with Sooyoung praying. The light aircraft is successfully repaired and both of them are happy. In the last part of this scene, Sooyoung is seen chasing Taeyeon's light aircraft.
Yuri is a café employee, and she is seen making a cup of latte. In one scene she puts a pot of flowers onto a desk.
Hyoyeon is purchasing a pair of white training shoes at a department store, after which she dances on a stairway.
Sunny and Jessica are making graffiti. The graffiti says "New World 2007". In the graffiti scene, Jessica is seen wearing a cannabis-leaf-shaped necklace.
Tiffany is repairing a scooter and repaints its body with pink color with flower motif and customizing its license plate. The customized license plate says "Tiffany" with the hanja version of Girls' Generation above it. There's a unique fact about the scooter: it actually belongs to Super Junior's Shindong, but then, Shindong sold with all of Super Junior's signatures on it because it had been repainted.
Seohyun is doing ballet while holding a paper plane, on the rooftop of a building.
There are two dance settings featured in the video. The first one is a room with a white background, and the second one is a lobby of a shopping mall.

Release
The song was originally first performed by the group in SBS's The Music Trend on August 5, 2007. "Into the New World" reached #1 on Mnet's M! Countdown. Over 100,000 copies of the single were sold.

Music video

The music video featured a cameo from Super Junior's Donghae as the shared love interest. The video followed a candy theme, with the group members dressed in white and dancing whilst holding a lollipop. The music video was released on January 14, 2008.[citation needed]

Rhythmer Volume 1 remix single
In January 2008, it was announced that people could submit their remixes of "Kissing You" to a website for a chance to have them officially released.[3] The four chosen remixes were then digitally released in March 2008. The Skool Rock Remix Version, the top choice in the competition, was included in the re-release of their debut album.

History

After a short break, the group's first full album was released in late autumn 2007, with the lead single "Girls' Generation", a cover of Lee Seung-Chuls hit. Other than the song, ‘Girls’ Generation’, the album also includes ‘Ooh La-La!’ which incorporated the stories of fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White into the lyric and impressive melodies, ‘Kissing You’, a house style dance tune with the sweet lyric sung as if they are whispering love to their boyfriends and created by the hit composer Lee Jae-Myeong, and ‘Baby Baby’, a shy confession of love and a present from Hwang Seong-Je, the composer of BoA’s ‘Atlantis Princess’, to Girls’ Generation.

The album has sold 121,143 copies to date, placing 8th in the year-end charts. In early 2008, Girls' Generation began promoting their second single, "Kissing You". In March 2008, the album was re-released and re-titled Baby Baby. A third single, "Baby Baby", was used to promote the album.

History
SM Entertainment posted an audio teaser and three posters of Bond girls and Austin Powers series theme on October 19, 2010 on the official Girls' Generation website. The girls' style evoked classical 1970s pin-up girls, along with Western-style cowgirls. The teaser was released on SM Entertainment's official YouTube Channel and Girls' Generation's official website on October 24, at 12AM KST.
The EP featured efforts from producers and writers such as Wheesung, Jinu (Hitchhiker), Kenzie, and former Roommate and Nadia member Hwang Hyun. Girls' Generation member Yuri, wrote the lyrics for "Mistake".

The mini-album, just like its predecessor "Oh!", got an international release on iTunes Store. The release was first revealed on Hoot's information box of the official music video on YouTube.

Composition
The title song "Hoot" is a dance-pop song whose theme is about a lady warning her blunt boyfriend not to take his eyes off her. It was originally titled "Bulletproof" and written with English lyrics. This song also features, their label-mate, Choi Siwon from Super Junior in their music video.[10] "Mistake" is the second track and a R&B ballad with lyrics by Kwon Yuri which is about a girl who can't move on from a relationship with a guy who he made asked to "wait" for her but in the end he found another and she blames herself for not trying harder to keep the love between them. The third track "My Best Friend" is a contemporary R&B song with lyrics by Wheesung that talks about each other's friendship of Girls' Generation. The fourth track "Wake Up" is an electropop song carrying dark synth beat-sounds with medium tempo shuffle rhythm. "Snowy Wish" is the fifth track and a bright dance-pop song

Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)

Girls Generation"Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)"; stylized as GENIE in Japan) is the lead single from the mini-album of the same title by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. Released digitally on June 22, 2009, the song became the group's 6th hit Korean single, topping various offline and online charts.

Background and composition
After the success of the last mini-album Gee, the group had a short hiatus. In late June, SM Entertainment announced that Girls' Generation would be making a comeback with a new single and showing a "Marine Girl" concept; Sowoneul Malhaebwa was then released digitally on June 22, 2009. The group's first performance for the mini-album was on June 26 on KBS Music Bank. Within a few days, the song topped on 10 different digital music charts. The song was also rewarded as the most popular album and ringtone downloads.

Girls Generation

Composed by Anne Judith Wik, Robin Jenssen, Ronny Svendsen, Nermin Harambasic and Fridolin Nordso (Dsign Music), the song was originally titled "I Just Wanna Dance". After SM Entertainment had purchased the rights to the song, the lyrical story of the song was re-written with additional composition by Yoo Young-jin, and the melody arranged by Yoo Han-jin.[8] The original song, I Just Wanna Dance, is a song about ones lust to dance. However, in the re-worked version, the song discusses someone granting the wishes of their partner. Originally, SNSD recorded the song as "I Just Wanna Wish," and was rehearsed to by the girls, however, the song was quickly revised shortly before release, and changed to "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)." Differences in the demo version, and the official, is most notably the presence of an ad-libbed bridge performed by Jessica, and the second chorus in which “Sowoneul Malhaebwa" (Tell Me Your Wish) is replaced by "I just wanna wish." As well as these, differences between this version and the Japanese version compared to the Korean version can be heard. In the Korean version, the outro features the girls playing around singing “Sowoneul Malhaebwa" whereas, in the other version, this is not heard.

"Tell Me Your Wish" is an electropop song, with influence of eurodance. The song features a synthesized intro performed by Yoo Young-jin, heard at the start of the Korean version, with the line, "Just turn it up, that's right, come on!". His voice is also used in the Korean music video, with the lines "Hey" and "Girls' Generation" being heard. The sound technique of, Musique concrète during the last chorus, in which group leader and main vocalist, Taeyeon, sings above the eight other girls - Tell me your fantasy, without holding back. I'll show you the genie's path. Tell me your wish, without holding back, I, your genie, will grant them. While the other girls sing the traditional chorus.

Japanese debut
"Genie" (stylised GENIE) is the official title for the debut in Japanese. The single was the first ever Japanese single released by Girls' Generation on September 8, 2010 in Japan. A new version of the music video was filmed to accompany the Japanese version, and the teaser was released on August 19, 2010. On August 26, 2010, the full music video was released. The song reached #5 on Oricon Charts on the releasing day. The song reached #2 on September 11, 2010. The song was released in three editions, two CD+DVD (first press and regular), and a CD Only edition. First press CD+DVD edition includes a special photobook and a random (1 of 9) photocard. The single includes also includes the Korean version, Tell Me Your Wish (Genie).
It was selected by iTunes Japan as the #1 Breakthrough Album of 2010 on 2010: Music, 2010 BEST chart.

Music videos
The choreographer was Rino Nakasone Razalan.

Korean version

The teaser video was released at 9:20 p.m. (KT) on June 19, 2009. Later, the original video was released on June 26, 2009. In the music video, Yoona appears first sitting in a large lamp, the other members sitting around her. The music video cuts back and forth between the group performing the choreography and scenes from three separate rooms occupied by three different members each. Yoona, Yuri and Jessica are in a large pink bedroom, Tiffany, Taeyeon and Sunny are in a dance club or disco bar, while Seohyun, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon are in a room there is a large cake from which Seohyun pops out. The girls wear white uniforms and perform on a long runway-like stage with a large heart in the background, while on the other they are in khaki uniforms with the words "GIRLS' GENIE" in the background. The music video frequently shows the girls interacting with the camera and with arms that sometimes extend from either side of the screen to give the impression that the girls are interacting with the viewer personally. The stage sequences have heavy, flashy lights and moving spotlights to give strong and bright effects.

Girls Generation
Japanese version
The music video teaser was released August 16, 2010 and the full music video was released August 25, 2010, it was also their first video to be filmed in Japan.
It begins with a young boy (EXO's Chanyeol) who found an old lamp and a scale model of a circus tent in an old attic. After rubbing the lamp, the camera zooms inside the tent where the Girls' Generation can be seen coming to life as the song begins to play. The girls then alternately switch to different costumes as the boy rubs the lamp once again, where in they are seen on an old television screen with a huge candy cane and colorful balloons. The music video ends with the boy rubbing the lamp again before magically disappearing into another scene where he is walking out of a limousine with Girls' Generation members meeting him on the red carpet at a premiere event. It is implied that his wish had been granted by lamp. There are also individual close-up scenes of members dressed in old fashioned pink shirts.
Most of the choreography remains the same as the Korean version, with a slight tweak to some of the steps. The difference is that in the Japanese version there are some parts where member Taeyeon moves to the front position to sing her solo verse before going back and rejoining the other girls to form a line. While in the Korean version, Taeyeon does not do this. Also, all the girls pose with a hand salute at the end. In the Korean version, only member Seohyun does it as her "end pose".
A dance version was also released which features the girls wearing their brown soldier uniforms which were one of the costumes that they wore in the music

3D Version (Korean)

On October 24, 2010 a 3D music video of the Korean version, was released for Samsung PAVV LED TV. The video begins with all nine girls sitting down, looking into crystal balls, then cutting into the beginning of the song with "Girls Generation" written in pink, sparkly lettering. The video features three dance sequences, one of which features a floor with cosmic-like sparkles coming out of it. During the video, it cuts to solo scenes of the girls playing with the crystal balls, inside are a man and a woman standing awkwardly beside each other at a bus stop, beside them is a poster with "I Wish" printed on it, and a red Mini Convertible is below it. The girls are then seen changing the couples clothes, and making the Mini appear out of the poster, signifying the girls are 'genies' and granting their wishes. The video ends with the girls waving goodbye to the couple, who then drive off in the car, with the number '37' printed on the side. The outfits worn by the girls follow the typical 'military' style, with two costumes being used. One featuring a black coat, tie and short-shorts, and a white undershirt. The other being all white, topped off with a white navy-esque hat.

Live performance style
On stage, the girls were given a "military" concept for their performance of Tell Me Your Wish, dressing mostly in tight military jackets, miniskirts, and/or hot pants. The colours were mostly white navy shirts, khaki brown, and red,[9] although various uniforms were shown. The group wished to show a mature image, in comparison to the innocence portrayed during Gee. The choreography of the song, done by Rino Nakasone, was focused on synchronization and seductive images. Parts of the choreography became popular in Korea, including the "Jegi-kicking dance" and the "Leg-beauty dance".
The song has been performed on two SMTown tours, In 2010, using the "Rock Tronic" remix, which was also used on their first tour, and then again in 2011 for the continuation of the 2010 SMTown tour. The remix contains a rock inspired dance-break, where the girls perform in-sync routines, the echo of the line sowoneul marhaebwa (Tell me your wish) can be heard, also.
"Genie" was featured as the opening number for the Girls' first Japan tour, and on the 2nd Asia tour. The performance begins with the girls appearing from an odd-shaped cocoon-like prop, where they are assembled in the shape of a pyramid; Taeyeon on top, followed by Jessica and Tiffany, then the remaining girls, Seohyun, Hyoyeon, Sunny, YoonA, Yuri and Sooyoung, on the third level. The song starts with Taeyeon singing the first line of Genie, and then is repeated by Jessica and Tiffany, and then again by the remaining girls, then, the girls begin to sing the song. The remix features a rap interlude performed by Tiffany;

Welcome to my show, it's a revolution
This is my Girls' Generation
Everyone rock with me, take it in all right
Get hype! Jump! Let's party all night
I know we the ones to make you super crazy
Wanna be your genie more than one night
Watchin' me, feelin' me, callin' my name
I just want you and me to feel the same
Come on and move it, put your hands up in the air
Everybody lose control, and hands up in the air.

After the rap, Tiffany replaces the word "DJ" in the line "DJ, put it back on," with the specific city, or venue, they are performing at. They perform at Japan, for example; Tiffany would say "Japan, put it back on!" During their performance of the song at the 62nd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2011, Tiffany says "Akagumi, put it back on!" as they were part of the all-female Akagumi (red team).

Other versions and plagiarism Issues
Issues of plagiarism were caused by Uzbek singer Dineyra's song "Raqsga Tushgin". It was revealed that although the release of her song preceded the release of Girls' Generation's second mini-album, the Uzbekistan singer's song was recorded without obtaining proper permission from Universal Music, thus plagiarising Tell Me Your Wish (Genie).]
On May 19, 2010 Dutch singer Nathalie Makoma released her second single named "I Just Wanna Dance." However, Nathalie sings the original English lyrics that were written for the song. On June 3, 2011 British singer C.J. Lewis released an English Version of Genie.
